With Google Translate, you can simply talk to your watch and get your not-as-useful mother tongue into the language you wish to speak. Google Translate has proven to be a handy tool in foreign lands where the language you’ve learnt since birth doesn’t come as handy. Keep, if you’re not aware, is Google’s note-taking application that is available on almost all platforms. Google Keep is an application that I didn’t think I would use as much but have been using quite often on my Wear OS smartwatch. Simply download the companion application on your Android phone and you can choose from a collection of thousands of custom watch faces (free and paid) that keeps growing daily. Facer offers thousands of third-party watch faces that fit the display of your watch perfectly (provided it supports your Wear OS watch). 3) Facerįacer is an application that I’ve seen most Wear OS users make use of and I completely understand why. Simply set Shazam as a shortcut (if applicable on your smartwatch) and identify the song playing in a few moments. With Shazam on Wear OS, you can now do the same without having to pull out your phone. I don’t know about you but more often than not I have had to pull out my phone to use Shazam to identify the song playing at a discotheque or a coffee shop. With both voice commands and a simplistic navigation UI, Google Maps is a handy addition - no pun intended - to your wristwatch. With the power of Maps on your wrist, you can simply command your Google Assistant to help you navigate your way to your destination. Personally, one of the most useful applications for me has been Google Maps.
